Celebrities come out to support amfAR at their New York Fashion Week gala
Celebrities and the New York fashion industry united at Cipriani Wall Street last night for amfAR’s annual New York Fashion Week gala. Hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker, the amfAR New York Fashion Week gala offered celebrities a black tie gala, live auction, silent auction and the chance to give funds to amfAR in the fight against AIDS.
The annual fundraiser is the unofficial kick-off event to New York Fashion Week and is traditionally held the night before fashion week begins. Celebrities and fashion industry professionals alike come out to support the AIDS charity while beginning their week-long jaunt in front of the cameras.
The fashion world celebrated as designer Roberto Cavalli was honored by anfAR for his tireless dedication to the AIDS charity over the years. Supermodel Cindy Crawford presented the iconic designer with his award as the crowd cheered and applauded for him.
