Housewives duel over Celebrity Apprentice (Celebrities news headlines)

'Housewives' duel over 'Celebrity Apprentice'
New York Daily News reported

Teresa Giudice could be a contestant on the next season of "Celebrity Apprentice" - and her fellow "Real" Housewife Caroline Manzo is trying to take credit for it.

Sources close to Giudice tell us "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast member is "in negotiations" to compete on season five of Donald Trump's celebrity ego contest.

"They're still ironing out details, so it's not definite," says one insider, who adds nonetheless that chances are "very good" Giudice ultimately will join the cast.

We hear Giudice was already talking to the show's producers about appearing on "Celebrity Apprentice" on Sept. 13, when she and her husband attended the Eric Trump Foundation Gala at the Trump National Golf Club in Westchester County.

The couple, who filed for bankruptcy two years ago, sat next to The Donald's table and donated $1,000 to the fund-raiser's beneficiary, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, before catching a musical performance by former Poison front man Bret Michaels, who won season three of "Celebrity Apprentice."

If Giudice does take the Trump gig, expect it to lead to fireworks on the reality show that made her famous: "The Real Housewives of New Jersey."
