Google Testing Celebrity Endorsements on Paid Search Results
PC Magazine reported

We're not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing to have, "Charlie Sheen endorsed this" under a website listing within Google.

But that's exactly the pilot program that Google's working on right now: Celebrity endorsements on its search results page. But before everyone gets all worked up over Lady Gaga liking this, or Conan O'Brien endorsing that, we should note that the program only appears to affect the paid advertising that appears on Google's results page.

According to Search Engine Land's Matt McGee, these sponsored links can have a celebrity specifically tagged as endorsing a particular piece of advertising – using his example, Khloe Kardashian can endorse an advertising link toward the Kardashian line of clothing at Sears' online store, and this mention will appear right below the ad itself.
